HI EVERYONE!

Does anyone check this anymore?? Seeing as I am an AVID blogger on the blogosphere, meaning I keep a poorly-attended to blog on Paris for my university, I come across our forlorn and forgetton blog frequently. Thus, I am going to write an update on ma vie. Je suis à paris! Does anyone out there speak french? I just finished a year abroad in paris and am doing an internship at the french senate (dont be too impressed, theres lots of sitting around and wearing of pant suits) until the end of July. I'm in the US/Boston and NH if anyone else is planning on being around there (cough jon and nick cough) for august. Then i'm off to the great and smoky state of Colorado for senior year.

So, those are life updates. Now here are some cooler ones. My hair is super long, not like in india when i had my little boy bob. Sometimes when i get drunk I speak in Hindi to people but all I can remember is "apka nam kya hai" so thats about as far as I get. I really want to plan a three month long trek through India and south east asia. I'm thinking about applying for a year long fellowship in india, but I would kind of prefer to do one in the Middle East, as much as i miss India. (I'm an IR major, in case I didn't mention that, it sort of makes sense of all of these political stuff). My family moved out of our house in Boston and I had to sort through all of my india clothes and only keep a select few! Remember back when we (or maybe it was just me) thought that I was going to wear them all of the time?? Sometimes I still explain the no-toilet-paper aspect of the India trip to people just to see them freak out (and people REALLY freak out! it amazes me). Everytime I eat indian food anywhere I spend the whole meal telling stories about india and demonstrating the right-hand-only eating technique, to the misery of my company who didn't know what they were getting into. Aaaand I believe that that's all I can think of!

OH MARGIE just messaged me that she is in london so we are maybe going to see each other!!! Yay!! Open invite everyone come to paris and crash on my apt floor. india reunion, international style. we can make a big ol' indian style dinner!!

lots of love to everyone, i'd love to hear updates from more people about what they're all doing!

Greetings from WaWaWA

Hello my dear dragons!
We're just finishing up the semester at Whitman which means that my head is filled to capacity and winter is slowly freezing my fingers and ears. If you want to know anything about the origins of maize or the international trade war of GMO hit me up. What I'm really excited about is working at a Caviar Shop over winter break. I get to learn all about caviar, foie gras, and truffles. As much as I have been working with Real Food initiatives this summer I'm excited to get a little ritzy. Also, hopefully in January I'll be attending the Northwestern University Conference on Human Rights, this years focus is the global food crisis! So far, becoming a leader of the food movement on conference has been an exciting and insightful experience. I'm getting to use my bossiness and organizational skills to make things happen! Anyway, tonight I'm going to make me and my girlfriends some coconut curry and then hopefully get shitttyyy. Love ya'll.

Oh and this video brings back some good memories. Its beautiful. And a fairly accurate representation of Varanasi!

Breakfast

I am eating cereal with a rusty fork.
I am drinking burnt coffee with tired lips.
Couldn't you all give me some tubular mugs to keep my mind off things?

From India to Iowa

HEY WASSUPPP?

I guess the whole point of this thing is to reminisce/catch up. Sooo incase anyone was curious I will give a brief update because I haven't talked to some of you guys, well, since we left India.

I am currently livin' the sweet life at Grinnell College. I know -- where? It is basically bum-fuck nowhere Iowa. I love it though; it's a total freak school. I think I'm going to major in Anthropology (maybe French too? can't decide) and I'm thinking about studying abroad in Tanzania next year. I think it will be like the Lion King. I am on both the cross country and swim teams, but we are division 3 so don't worry I'm not actually good at these sports. This past summer I was a camp counselor at a mountain camp in Colorado and it was pretty sweet. I realized I don't like kids that much though. So that was rough.

So those are the big headlines I guess -- what about erryone else??? I'm very curious.

Also, remember that time Jonathan and Daniel crashed that rickshaw in Bodhgaya? I do. LULZ.

Miss you guys.

Hi everybody,
Welcome to our blog! This is great because it's our own forum to talk about whatever we want, and we can post pictures if we feel so inclined. After we get everyone on board I'll make this site private so that only we can see it. That way it's more of a private conversation than one that's open to the entire web. Reminisce, tell us about present day, or just do something crazy (I know Wex-a-flex will probably have some mindfreak posts, maybe some music from Jake, photos from Margs, and you know I'll post pictures of my food. We are a very creative bunch). So get writing! Love to all of you lovely dragons!
